Website Material Submission Policy
We'd like to encourage our members to submit their club related
photos and text for possible use on this website. We do however
caution all potential contributors that any and all submissions
will be thoroughly proof read and all photos extensively scrutinized
before they will be considered for these pages. Any contribution
that is deemed to be degrading, distasteful, and otherwise detrimental
to a positive image of sportsmen in general or those simply done
in poor taste will not be posted.
Please do not submit photos which illustrate individuals actively
participating in the use of tobacco or the consumption of alcoholic
beverages. Images that include partial nudity, obscene and / or
offensive gestures will also not be considered for posting. As fellow
Americans we will make every effort to respect and further honor
everyone's right under the law to freely express themselves and
to indulge in all legal recreational practices without becoming
judgmental or condescending.
As sportsmen and women however, we have inherited certain responsibilities
and made certain commitments to our sports, to ourselves, and to
future generations. We must meet the challenges we will surely face
together with dignity and class. Sportsmen already come under fire
far too often. At GCF&G we choose to portray sportsmen as we see
them, a large, diverse, fun-loving, intelligent, influential, and
law abiding segment of society. It would be foolish and self-destructive
on our part to do anything less.
We ask for your cooperation when you submit items to this site,
and hope that you will play a proactive role in helping us further
a positive image for decades to come.
Winter
Weather Notice Policy
With the arrival of winter comes the impending threat of hazardous
weather conditions. In years past, imclement weather has at times
disrupted GCF&G Board & Membership Meetings, and created
a great deal of confusion.
If Greene County is under a Level 2 snow emergency and is listed
as such in TV, radio, and news broadcasts at 3:00 pm the day of
any scheduled board or membership meeting, that meeting will be
postponed and rescheduled on the same day and time, of the following
week unless otherwise indicated.
Common sense should always be used when deciding whether or not
to attend any club funciton during inclement weather. Don't take
unnecessary risks. To determine the status of other scheduled events
at the club during these inclement periods, contact the Chairman
in charge of the activity scheduled. Thank you for your cooperation.
