Personal Protection Concepts
LTD is dedicated to providing high quality, professional
instruction and training at an affordable cost. Every effort is
made to make our training available to everyone who feels a personal
and civic responsibility to become educated about firearms, firearms
safety, personal protection and the right to keep and bear arms.
Members of Greene County Fish & Game and their spouses can now
enjoy a $25 discount on their Ohio CCW Course registration.
The cost of the Concealed Carry course to members is $100 and $125
for all other Firearm Training Courses. Members will be required
to bring their membership card with them to the first day of class.
This discount price applies to all GCF&G members and spouses only.
The Personal Protection Concepts LTD, Ohio CCW course will provide
to each person who takes the course a copy of the pamphlet prepared
by the Ohio peace officer training commission that reviews firearms,
dispute resolution, and use of deadly force matters. The course
will include 12 hours of training in the safe handling and use of
a firearm that will include all of the following:
- 10 hours of Classroom instruction and 2 hours of range instruction
- Dispute resolution and deadly force matters
- The safe storage, use, and handling of a pistol
- Ammunition knowledge and safety
- The fundamentals of handgun shooting and safety
- Shooting positions
- Handgun Systems, terminology and operation
- Malfunctions and proper cleaning
- The laws that apply to carrying a concealed pistol in Ohio
- Concealment options
- Live fire training
- One hour Written and Practical Examination
The course is taught by Brady Smith, a GCFG member for 12 years.
Smith currently serves as a Police Officer for the Cedarville Police
Department and Ranger with Greene County Parks in Greene County,
Ohio and has been an officer since 1994. Smith has completed more
than fourteen hundred hours of specialized training.
